What can you expect from Custodian Financial Services?

Our history

JOHAN ROOS is the sole director of Custodian Financial Services (Pty) Ltd. He holds the B.Iuris and LL.B. degrees from the University of South Africa. Johan worked for the Department of Justice for a number of years before being admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer and practiced as such for 9 years. Although still admitted, Johan is currently on the roll for non-practicing attorneys.

In 2004 Johan decided on a career change and joined Absa BROKERS and worked as a financial planner with them until 2008. Johan completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning in 2008 with the University of the Free State. Johan has been a member of the FINANCIAL PLANNING INSTITUTE since 2004 and holds the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation.

Johan was attached to two independent brokerages since leaving Absa Brokers, before deciding in 2017 to establish and register his own brokerage.

His legal background, industry qualifications and years of experience has prepared him well to deal with client’s estate and risk planning issues, local and offshore investment needs and business continuation and business contingency challenges.

Custodian Financial Services prides itself for being independent and is therefor not limited to a single company to meet the clients’ needs.

We hold the belief that by putting the clients’ interests first we would have a long professional relationship with our clients and they would in that sense be looking after our business.

Concise gathering of information from the client, based upon which, an easy to understand, professional written risk, estate and/or investment plan will be done which will be discussed and considered together with the client.
